At
just a few hours over one day old, little
Alyssa Janae Grayson was somewhat oblivious
to what was going on when the HealthStart
Department filled her mother’s room with
gifts from area merchants, but her mother
was all smiles.
“Thank you so much for
everything,” Phanelka Grayson beamed.
“This is great.” The buggy full of gifts
was courtesy of area merchants who donate
gifts to the first baby of the new year.
Alyssa took that honor on January 3,
2008 at 10:47 a.m. She weighed 6 pounds 8
ounces and was 18.5 inches long. She is the
daughter of Phanelka Grayson and Jack
Norwood of Sweet Water and she is welcomed
home by her 5-year-old sister, Brianna
Grayson.
