The
Respiratory Therapy Department and Bryan Whitfield
Hospital has lost a long time therapist and friend.
Christine Wolf Lloyd was a member of the
Respiratory family for 30 years.
She dedicated her life to her patients and making
their lives as well as diseases better.
Christine was respected by all as a therapist,
woman, and mother. She
had a great sense of humor and always strived to better
herself through her work and dedication to the hospital
and Respiratory Department.
Christine
worked hard to accomplish her goal of being the best
therapist and she made lasting impressions on all her
patients and co-workers lives.
Christine lost her battle with her condition on
November 22, 2010. Our
department has felt the loss of her experience as well as
her smiling face.
Christine
was a giver! A
giver of time, love, care, and hope.
She leaves behind her only child, a daughter,
Kristi Eran Lloyd and a husband, Greg Lloyd.
Her greatest and most wanted wish was Kristi’s
education and success.
Kristi is now in her sophomore year at Alabama
State University in Montgomery.
It
is because of Christine’s memory and greatness that we
as a department are establishing a scholarship fund in her
name. Each
year starting with 2010 we are accepting donations and
applications for a scholarship to be given away each year
in January. We
have decided that this first year the recipient will be
Christine’s daughter, Kristi.
This is a small way of keeping her memory alive and
her life celebrated.
We
are asking for donations in her honor to start this fund.
Christine
will never be replaced.
Her Christian faith has been a great example to all
who knew her. Chris
is no longer suffering with the trials of this world.
Please help us in easing a portion of the financial
strain of a student going to college each year.
We know that is what Chris would have wanted.
She will be greatly missed and never forgotten.
Please
bring donations to BWWMH respiratory Therapy department,
or contact Kayla Hasty at 334-287-2604 for information and
questions.
